Pricing & charges
Understand how stay pricing works
Learn how billable nights or days, pricing rules, room surcharges, services, and saved reservation terms produce a stay total.
What builds the total
AnimalAdmin prices each billable unit of the stay using the enabled rules that match its animals, length, and dates. It then adds room surcharges and selected services according to their charge mode. Discounts and manual adjustments change the reservation total separately.
- Use a set-price rule as the standard price for a species or type of stay.
- Flat and percentage rules adjust the price when their conditions match.
- One-time charges are added once; per-day charges use the reservation's billable-unit count.
Nights and paid days
Open Settings > Pricing to choose the billing mode. With Charge every day off, a stay is charged by nights between check-in and check-out. With it on, both the arrival and departure dates are paid days.
Per-day pricing rules, room surcharges, and services all follow the same saved billable-unit count for that reservation.
Saved reservation pricing
When a reservation is saved, AnimalAdmin captures its calculated price, billing mode, tax settings, and pricing terms. Later edits to the pricing catalog do not silently rewrite that reservation.
If you change the stay dates, choose whether to keep the saved total, recalculate from the reservation's saved terms, or use the current pricing catalog. Review the price summary before saving the change.
