Create a daycare session

Schedule one or more animals for daycare, set planned times, and understand capacity, duplicate, and boarding conflict checks.

Before you start

The Daycare module must be enabled. Its opening hours, daily capacity, and default day price come from the daycare settings.

Add the session

  1. Open Daycare attendance and select Add session.
  2. Select one or more Animals. You can add a missing client or animal from the same dialog.
  3. Choose the Date, planned Drop-off, and planned Pick-up. Available times follow the configured opening hours.
  4. Optionally add Internal notes. Leave Repeat session off when this is a single visit.
  5. Select Add session. When several animals are selected, AnimalAdmin creates one session for each animal.

Conflict and price checks

  • The same animal cannot have two daycare sessions on one day.
  • A session cannot be added when the animal has a boarding stay on that date.
  • A limited day cannot exceed the Daily capacity setting.
  • A new session copies the current default day price. Open the session details later if a price override is needed.

After creating the session

The session appears in Board and List views. Use Check in and Check out to record the actual attendance. Any booked-session email or SMS follows Settings > Notifications and requires the appropriate client contact details.
