Separate animal profiles from stay information

Keep stable details on the profile

Use the animal profile for information reused across visits: owner, name, species, size, weight, gender, date of birth, neutering status, microchip number, general notes, photo, vaccinations, and deworming records.

Record stay-specific answers with the reservation

In-heat status, medication and instructions, veterinary-care needs, and care notes describe a particular stay. These answers belong to the animal's reservation intake so staff can review the information that applied when that booking was submitted.

Configure the client questions under Settings > Requirements. Dated vaccination and deworming evidence remains part of the reusable animal health record.

Understand the in-heat control

In the panel reservation form, the in-heat control appears only for a female dog or cat when an enabled pricing rule depends on in-heat status. Other animals are not shown the control because the value cannot affect their price.
