Block dates and boarding closure periods

Choose between a closure and an endpoint block

A full closure range makes every date in the range unavailable and rejects any new or changed boarding stay that overlaps it. Use it for renovations, holidays, or other periods when animals cannot remain at the business.

A single-day block prevents check-in and check-out on one date but still allows a stay to continue through that date. Custom blocks and imported public holidays use this endpoint-only behavior.

Add a full closure range

1. Open Settings > Boarding and find Closed dates.
2. Choose Add range, then select the first and last closed dates. Both endpoints belong to the closure.
3. Optionally add an internal note explaining the closure.
4. Choose Add. The range appears with the Full closure label and can be edited or deleted later.

Block one arrival and departure date

1. Choose Custom block in Closed dates.
2. Enter a name and select the date to block.
3. Choose Add block. The entry appears with the Check-in/out block label.

Import public holidays

Adding a closure or block controls new bookings and date changes; review existing reservations separately when your operating plan changes.

1. Choose Import holidays, select a supported country, and load its upcoming public holidays.
2. Review the list and select only the holidays on which arrivals and departures should be blocked.
3. Choose Import selected. Already imported dates are marked and cannot be selected again.
